Touching on some Dubstep

Welp, this week I obtain a copy of FL Studios 10 Prod. Edition (before I was simply using Mixcraft 4) so I could try my hand at creating dubstep. I have to admit, FL Studios was pretty overwhelming at first, but luckily I stumbled upon some videos that taught me a few things. I can now put together any sort of drum beat as well as any basic instrumental that I can play on my keyboard. I'm very content with this knowledge, but hopefully I'll figure out how to work Massive and create some oscillations (that's the wubwubwub in dubstep) and put together an official track! In the mean time, check me out on soundcloud! Link below:

Krazy Kollege

So this one pretty much sums up my experiences in my first year of college so far. I really do love it. I love this mash up as well!! I decided to revert back to my original two-song mashup and while working on it, I realized why I originally started doing these mashups. A lot of people believe that just because I put two existing songs together, I really can't call my creation my own and take much credit for it. I tweaked SOOOO much of the two songs to try and form one perfect compilation that I really began to remember how much of the little things go into this. They all add up for one unique package, and with enough creativity, one can stretch two songs to the point where no one would associate them with their originals but as one identity. That's what I want to do with my next piece; I really want to push the boundaries and create a song that you won't be able to tell if it's completely original works or a mashup.

Greg The Ghost (A Short Film)

Soooo I've been in the process of writing a horror film and have been looking for an opportunity to practice some switcharoo transitions (as I like to call them). I put together this film with a friend of mine in like 20 minutes, and edited it all in 15, so don't be expecting the greatest of creations, but bear in mind the potential and ease of these shots. JUST WATCH IT and critique, please!!!!!!!!!!1

Bouta Booty

Just finished my mash-up, made a quick pic for it, and posted up. This song is dedicated to none other body part but the butt. lol Lemme know what you think. I honestly don't care for it.

Yup yup

Gonna be posting another song here shortly. The best part is that after it's complete, I'm gonna be sending a small demo to Illegal Art for them to review! :) I don't really anticipate them saying, 'Congrats! You're signed on!!' but if they did that would be awesome!!!!! I'm mainly doing it just for the criticism, so I know what to really work on improving. Hoping to finish and upload today but....who knows.

Final Count Jound

**I appologize for the small screen.... I formatted the final video incorrectly. Watch it from YouTube and fullscreen it, it makes it quite bigger.**

Okay, my last song? Nothing compared to this one. Final Count Jound (named such because of a typo in the music file) is a monster. 12 tracks, old and new. Stop reading this and listen.

So I've been working for awhile now on my latest and greatest mash-up, "Final Count Jound", and I am pleased to say that it is complete!...almost. I have the SONG done 100%, but I want to create a video for it. I have all the videos needed to start it already downloaded and in the proper format, the only thing I'm waiting on is finding the time to compile it and edit it. Tonight I have a lot of school work to do, and Thursday through Saturday I will be busy filming a couple videos for the Washburn Review. Hopefully, by tomorrow night I should have it complete and uploaded to YouTube, where I will link it up here.
